Live in Caregiver for Canada

This is an exciting opportunity for eligible
candidates to be able to obtain Permanent
Residency in Canada for themselves and
spouse/dependents, after 2 years continuous work.

A caregiver is a person that can work unsupervised
in a private house, taking care of children, elderly
or disabled (mental/physical) persons.

The caregiver will live in his employer’s home,
perform the caregiver duties and will also help in
housekeeping duties, as part of the family he or
she will work for.

Benefits include:
- personal room
- all meals included
- after the deduction of income taxes and the live-in
costs, approx savings of CAD $ 900 - 1200 /month
- medical insurance
- between 40-48 hours/week, with 2 consecutive
days off
- overtime paid (1.5 times the basic rate after 44
worked hrs or added to holidays)
- Vacation – 2 weeks paid plus 8 days national
holidays.

*** Perhaps the most important benefit of the Live-
in Caregiver program is that after 2 years of
continuous work, you can apply to obtain
permanent residency for yourself and your spouse
& dependents.

There is no kind of recruitment fee (or any other
kind of fee) associated with this job.

Requirements:

- Must have completed high school education

- Must speak English to at least a conversational
level

Experience/Training can be in the following areas:

- Teacher (experience with children under approx
11 or training in early childhood education – ie not
a general teaching training)
- Nurse
- Nanny
- Geriatric Care
- Au pair
- Working with physical disabled and related
- Working with special needs, learning/mental
disabilities
- Other relevant areas

Training course must be of a minimum of six
months full-time in a classroom setting (training
may have been completed as part of formal
education)

OR

the relevant experience must be of a minimum of
12 months out of which at least 6 months should be
with one employer.

The experience/training needs to be completed in
the last 3 years.
